Some rental assistance vouchers are targeted to specific populations, such as elders, people with disabilities, people moving from shelter to work, and people working toward self-sufficiency.
MBHP offers many of these programs, including:
- Family Self-Sufficiency
- Participants with Section 8 vouchers commit to a 5-year program to increase their earnings, advance their education, and work toward economic independence. To learn more about FSS click here, or contact Jamie DeLude at (617) 425-6701 or e-mail jamie.delude@mbhp.org.
- Moving to Work
- Participants are either homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless and are currently receiving public assistance. While enrolled in the program, participants receive a monthly lump sum to assist with rent as well as case management and other benefits. To learn about MTW, please contact Alex Monte at (617) 425-6756 or e-mail alex.monte@mbp.org.
- Community Choice Voucher Program
- Minority families who wish to relocate to a more diverse community can receive assistance through the Community Choice Voucher Program. Participants must currently have a Section 8 voucher with MBHP. For more information on CCVP, click here, or contact Alex Monte at (617) 425-6756 or e-mail alex.monte@mbhp.org.
